Couple more

Slower on the Mahi bite today, got 2 on my morning trip.  Afternoon came up empty – went inside and looked for reds, but didn’t find those either.  Storm started brewing so we raced in.

Buds

Great day with a couple of my good buds.  We caught gaffers and kings a couple miles off the beach.  Looking forward to a week of calm conditions and good fishing! thanks for checking

Epic Day

Epic day with Chad and Dylan. Caught Jacks, Mahi, and Cobia.  Action all day long on a beautiful day. Even had us a bonus Sailfish encounter. Hung in our spread for a bit – picked at the baits but never came tight. Thanks dudes!

Jacks and a bonus

Had Paul and crew today.  Started out picking at some throwback specks.  Went between the islands and caught some bottom fish to take out to the wreck.   Caught a bunch of jacks – brought home 3.   Plucked a 25lb cobia in the inlet on the way in.  Fun trip! thanks guys

Triple shift

Fished three trips today.  This morning we went out in hopes of some sharks but we ended up scoring a nice 35lb cobia in the chum on a live croaker.  On the way in we saw a monster sand tiger shark on the surface so we pitched it a live bait and fought him for a bit before he snapped the line.  Probably 8ft long.  Fun Morning

Mid day trip was a bit of a bust.  They wanted to go for a cobia too so we went back out and got the live baits behind the chum bag but never got a look.  Hero or zero out there on the cobia right now.   You gotta really want it.  And its very tough on a 4 hour trip.

This evening we stayed inside the sound.  The wind had completely dropped out and we enjoyed a nice glassy evening on the sound.   We had a decent little speckled trout bite on jigs, corks, live bait, and on fly.   A few small stripers in the mix too.  Fun evening.
