Nice red
Went fun fishing with my uncle this afternoon. It was slow but we managed to hook 2 nice trout that shook off at the boat. This 22″ red made it in to the box though!

I had 4 stream trout anglers from WV with me this morning. We picked at the trout all morning. It is pretty rare that once you catch one, that you dont pick off a few more nearby. That wasn’t the case this morning. The fish bit 15 minutes apart all morning. Luckily, it was a nice class of fish and most of them went into the box. Also, managed a 20″ drum and pulled off a mystery fish that was screaming drag right under the boat. It stayed just out of sight so we never got a look at it. Caught a flounder that was just undersized too. 10 keeper trout and 1 keeper drum should be enough for a tasty dinner! Thanks for fishing with me this morning guys, maybe we will see ya next year!
I had a group of 6 with me this morning to dodge the rain clouds and catch some dinner. I decided to put out at a different ramp this morning because the wind was 15mph stronger then it was supposed to be. We caught 25-30 trout alot of throwbacks but we did manage 8 into the box with a couple pretty fish over 2lbs. These guys had a blast catching fish with some good ol fashion friendly competition on the fish counts. I think Lexi had all the guys beat with probably 8 or 9 fish. We caught a couple puppy drum in the mix too. Thanks alot for coming out and fishing with me this morning, hope to see you next year!
I have a really hard time not running out of the inlet and looking for something to pull some drag when the conditions look so good. Headed out of OI at 0930 with a really light west wind and lake Atlantic conditions. Matt, Graham, and myself where hoping to cross paths with a couple of the cobia that have been cruising around off the beach. We started off casting at 4 pups as soon as I brought it off plane just to break the ice. . . . No takers….. We drive around seeing a few here a few there and we just couldn’t manage to hook up! It was killing me. Finally came tight on one that had to go back in the drink. I probably could have let him swim in my livewell for an hour and he would have been long enough. 1 for 9 for the day. Charter in the AM stay tuned for report! Thanks for checking
I had Chris, Paul, and Hunter on a morning half dayer for some light tackle pullage. We pushed off at 0600 and headed out in sheet glass conditions. Shortly after we arrived at the first stop we started catchin’ em. Mostly short trout with some mystery bites in the mix. The bite started to slow down a little while we worked our way down the bank. Hunter gets a nice cast in a pretty little pocket and pulls out a beautiful keeper red all lit up. That one goes in the box. We start hitting a few fish on the one little point so I pull the boat up to the bank. After catching a few I decide to push off and keep moving. In the process of pushing the boat off the bank I managed to take a swim. Wasn’t the worst thing that could have happened since the heat was cranking. The total was approx. 20 trout, 1 striper, 1 flounder, and 1 drum. Inshore slam baby! Towards the end of the trip I decided it would be a good idea to stick a trebble hook in my hand when I was unhooking a fish. Overall a fun time with these guys, thanks alot for fishing with me!
