AFTCO Pro Staff

Really excited to announce that I have hopped on board the AFTCO Pro Staff team.   They have supplied me with some really awesome gear.  Their sun protection clothing and cold water gear is going to really come in handy.  Head on over to www.AFTCO.com and check out there selection.   I have 2 charters on Friday so stay tuned as we will be targeting stripers at the local bridges.

Autumn is here!

My wife and I (well, mostly my wife) brought in another beautiful baby girl into the world yesterday!  Her name is Autumn Faye Lusk and she weighed in at 7lb 5oz and was 19.5″ long.   We named her Autumn because it is the time of year that we both love the most. How can you not?!  Yesterday was the perfect day for her to come.  70 degrees, fun waves, and the fishing was off the hook!  Thats EXACTLY what Autumn is all about =)     We are so happy, and want to thank everyone for all the love.  Here she is with her big sister Hazel!

From the sand

Matt and I headed down to the beach last night to try and catch a 15lb trout…….. We managed a few 15 inchers and also lucked into a school of nice upper slot pups.  All fish came on mirrolures which for some reason makes it extra fun.  Thanks for checking.  Stripers are at the bridges so lets get out there, give me a call and we can book your trip!

Last hurrah

Well, my wife is what seems like about 15 months pregnant.  She is due to pop any day with our second child.  We are expecting another daughter and we are naming her Autumn Faye Lusk (I plan on calling her Auttie)  Anyways, we ventured North in search speckled trout.  We decided to hit Back River in Hampton first, then head to the motherland that is the Elizabeth River to cap off the day.  We managed a solid catch of specks with some quality fish in the mix.   !2 troutski

Not photo worthy

My brother and I fished the old manns harbor bridge this evening in our kayaks.  The current was extremely strong.   We trolled from the base of the west side all the way to the high rise with 2 dink stripers to show.  Alot of work for a couple of fish but we probably burned about 2000 calories and it beats sitting on the couch. I didn’t take any photos but I grabbed this one off the internet, it was the best representation of our trip. Heading up to the land of gator trout tomorrow in hopes of a monster. Stay tuned and thanks for checking!
