Dinkfest

Not a very good ratio today – we had about 50 fish to every 1 keeper.   Lots of action, but lots of empty space in the cooler.  Going to some new areas tomorrow – stay tuned!

Trout fry

Should have pretty much daily reports from here on out.   Sound fishing is pretty good right now with lots of action.  Plenty of trout around, and if you grind hard enough you can find the keeper fish like Ray & Company did this morning.  Thanks guys!

Bulls

Travis Tritt said it best – “It’s a great day to be alive!!!!!”  Excellent fishing with my brother and buddy Tilford today.  Left the monster drum schooled up and hungry after pulling about 25 on the boat.  EPICNESS!

Small striper galore

Crazy the amount of small stripers in the sound. Everywhere you go!   Every now and then we will plucked a flounder or trout out of em.  Tons of fun

Flatty consolation

Rick and company are down here in hopes of getting into the big drum in Hatteras. We’ve had this trip booked for months. We went down today and searched for hours and hours, and came up empty. Cruised back up to Oregon inlet at the bottom of the 9th. Found a pile of nice ~3lb blues, small striper, and a decent little flatty. Tomorrow we are heading back to Hatteras with high hopes!
