Gettin after it!

The fish are here in full force. I’m going to try and keep the updates flowing. Looks like some great conditions this week.  Seeing huge numbers! May is booked up full but give me a shout for your summer trip! Thanks for checking. IMG_20190505_142623_614 20190505_123435 IMG_20190504_145901_983

They’re here!

Caught a few cobia last week, which is definitly the earliest I’ve ever caught cobia out of Oregon inlet. There has been a great showing of fish the last couple days. We caught double digit fish this afternoon. May is completely booked up, but give me a shout for your summer vacation trip as my days are filling up fast. Thanks!

Buzzer

Pretty slow day overall…. Fished all the areas I’ve been fishing the past couple weeks and came up almost empty besides a few small stripers.  Made a long run this evening and found us the first puppy drum of the season along with the first keeper flounder.  Caught a few small trout too.

First few blues

It was literally blowing 25-30 this afternoon, but we still went for it.  We tried our hardest to get out of the wind, but the fish wanted to be in the chop.  We ended up with some throwback rockfish, trout, flounder, and caught our first few bluefish of the year. Glad the guys had a good time and were able to bring home a little meat for their efforts. The water is warming up fast. The next few weeks are going to be interesting!!!!

Windy but trouty!

Morning trip was a little scrappy, we bounced around and picked at the trout and rock. Afternoon trip was a blustery trout bonanza with a few keepers in the mix. Evening trip slowed down a little but still great action with lots of throwbacks and 3 more keeper trout. Great day on the water.
