Troutnado

Some great action on the light tackle inshore half day trips. Plenty of trout bites and more and more keepers showing up.  We’ve also been catching a few flounder in the mix too! I’m booked up for the next couple weeks but I’ve got plenty of availability the end of July and August. Give me a shout!

Nice meat haul

Once again the morning trip was a little slow. We picked at the trout then switched gears and caught a couple sheep’s.  The afternoon got going we caught some really nice black drum and a couple stud sheep’s along with another half dozen keepers. Nice little meat haul for an afternoon in the sound.

This just goes to show that the morning trips aren’t always the most successful. I get alot of people that won’t book an afternoon I guess because theyre used to their local bass pond where the fishing is better in the morning or something.  This is a different animal. We fish tides and water conditions. Time of day is not a factor at all.

Big drum!

Morning trip was very slow , had a few trout but a slow pick. Afternoon was a different story. The big drum popped in the ocean and we went out there and caught a bunch of big ones casting bucktails into a giant school. IMG_20190624_161408_906

Sheepshead have been an excellent choice to put some meat in the cooler during our half day sound trips! Really fun fish to catch and even better to eat!  I’ve got plenty of openings in July so let’s go!

Fishin’ update

Been doing mostly half day trips in the sound lately. We’ve had alot of wind but we’ve managed to have some  on tdecent action trout, flounder, bluefish, Spanish, sheep’s, black drum and more.  Having to pick threw allot of throwbacks to get the keepers but it’s action!
