Morning was slow tried the drum a while no dice. Slipped out the inlet and caught a throwback cobia and saw a pair on the way in . Aftrrnoon was better we saw a handful and got a nice 31 pounder for the grill. Saw 6 or so before the NE wind came up.
Past couple days have been a little slow. Had to pull the boat one day to do a bunch of work on it. Sound fishing has been very hit or miss. Hero or zero. Still a few cobia around when conditions allow us to get out. Hoping things pick up a little!
First morning back in the sound did not disappoint ! Schools of slot and over slot drum with big 10lb bluefish mixed in! I’ve heard of a few nice trout around _ we will be able to keep those on June 15th. I’ll leave them alone til then. Still plenty of cobia around. We did have a couplr slow days but they made a good showing yesterday. Thanks for checking!
Had a couple slow days cobia fishing , including the first skunk of the season. Fished from 8 to 2 and only saw 2 small fish. The fish have made a good showing in Virginia so we are definitly past the best of it. Everyone is talking about another wave of fish so I’m hopeful things pick back up! We did catch another fish over 70lbs three days ago. Thanks for checking!
Put a pig in the boat this morning! Ended up having a great day catching over a dozen with a nice limit that included 2 citations. Someone pinch me!
