Blue dogs
Plenty of 1-3lb bluefish around. Davey had the hot hand catching a few blues and a striper. Nice warming trend this week, I’m hopeful that things will go ahead and bust wide open this week. Stay tuned for reports, and thanks for checking!

Big Drum
Went down south today with my brother Matt and our buddy Tilford. Found a school of big drum early in the day and plucked one out of it. Spent the rest of the day looking at the ocean. Saw some big black drum, blues, albies, and plenty of other life. So glad the temps are warming up and things are heating up! Call me – lets go fishing.
Skates, Shad, and Drum watching
I guess they have to eat at some point. We have been seeing plenty of drum, but they have been tough to get to eat. Putting everything under the sun in front of them. In the mean time, we have been catching some trash fish. Looking forward to warmer weather / water!
Wrong color fish!
Enjoyable morning with Father and son Kerry and Joe from New England. We were greeted with nice calm conditions. We saw a handful of redfish the wouldn’t eat anything. Torture! Here is Joe with a bluefish.
Rigged up
Spent some time on my rods, reels, and tackle today. I’ve got a few trips this week so I’ll have some reports for you – good or bad. The reds have been a little frustrating lately, here one day and gone the next. Similar to the beginning of last season. Got a couple other options so we’ll see how it goes!
