Seein red

Pup fished this morning with Tommy and what a fun morning we had. . . A dozen or so reds with some small trout mixed in.  Tommy had to blindfold me on the way there.  Great way to start the day

Triple A

I had Anthony, Andrew, and Adam with me this morning for a half day trout trip.  We managed to find the land of shorts with plenty of little guys and only 3 keepers!  We only were able to bring home two because the smart captain that I am netted a keeper, grabbed it off the hook, and instead of tossing the lure in the water and the fish in the cooler I did the opposite.  Oh well, the laugh we got out of that was more enjoyable then the trout sandwich. Haha, that was one lucky trout.  Thanks for fishing with me this morning guys, we will see ya next year!

Topwater Fun

Had an enjoyable morning with good friend Kyle along with big Time and little Tim.  We squeezed in an trip this morning and caught over 25 trout easy.  Most were small but it was alot of fun on topwater plugs.  We managed a few keepers and they took them home for dinner tonight.  Enjoyable morning fellas, thanks for the good company! As you can see, Tim didn’t want to waste time posing for a picture!

Fishing update

Had some trips the last few mornings and we have been catching trout. They have been on the smaller side but the keepers are still mixed in. Had some young kids with me today and we caught a variety of bottom fish as well as a few trout.  Saw a drum tailing in the shallows and get him to eat. . . Unfortunately he shook the hook half way to the boat.  We’ll get em next time little fella!  Thank you everyone who has fished with me this summer I greatly appreciate the business!

PS : My smartphone got wet and I am using a temporary ancient backup phone until my new one comes in. . .  Pictures will resume shortly!

Rain delay

Kent, Kent Jr, Peter and I got a late start this morning after the rain clouds pushed through. Upon arriving at the first spot, I cast one out to show the fellas how to retrieve the lure. I think the bait was in the water for .002 seconds before it gets hit. A keeper goes into the box and man I thought it was game on. Ended up being a false alarm. . . We still managed to catch about 12 trout and missed quiet a few more. 6 went into the box and we snuck back to the ramp just in time before the bottom fell out. Thanks for fishing with me guys!
